Time to renovate?

Cash grants for home renovations part of tradie rescue package - This morning it has been reported that the federal government is considering giving householders cash grants for home renovations, under a multi-billion dollar stimulus package.

Not a lot is known about this at this early stage but it is a move designed to keep the building sector above water and stimulate the economy.

We work with some fantastic Melbourne builders, if you are interested get in touch and we can help you out, whether it is electrical or more advanced changes to your house or business.

The covid -19 pandemic has been a rollercoaster for both tradesmen and homeowners. On the one hand it has seen an enormous increase in demands for home offices with people been forced to work from home, but on the other a lot of people are a little anxious about having people come into the homes at the moment.

Restrictions were further lifted today, however Victorians are still encouraged to work from home where they can. It is not known what will happen in the future, it is possible that schools and offices will remain shut/close again if the virus numbers grow, so now might be a good time to get your work done.

Can tradesmen work in my house?

Yes they can, tradesmen are allowed too work on your property with the current legal requirements of Victorian Covid-19 rules and regulations.

There are a few things though before a tradesmen comes over, they must:

* Check if anyone at your property has been diagnosed with COVID-19, is a suspected case, has been in contact with a suspected or confirmed case, has recently returned from overseas or has flu-like symptoms, such as fever or a cough.

* You will be asked to stay away from the area where they are working, and they must also practise good hygiene by washing their hands regularly or using sanitiser.

* On completion you should disinfect and clean the area where they worked. Payment should also be contactless.

Get in touch today an we will be happy to help - light, power and all things electrical.
